Dennis Frome, of the British Friends Ambulance Unit was a trained vaccinator. The Arabs objected if he did the vaccination properly and didn’t draw any blood. They would push their arms at him and insist, "Do more! Do deeper!" From sad experience, they knew the ravages of Smallpox, and the danger of not having a good vaccination. Location: Kafate, Syria.
